Tipp's second month of life has been an exciting and busy month. We had Christmas in Troy with everyone, the Smith's, the Boutwell's, and the Abbeville family. We did a lot of traveling and spent our first nights away from home. The week before Christmas we spent the night with Daniel's Dad and Step-Mom. Tipp did great!! He slept in a crib for the first time and loved visiting family.

Tipp had his 2 month checkup and he weighs 14lbs 5oz and he's 24 inches long. He had his first shots at that appointment also. It was very sad to see him cry so hard. It didn't last long and he was much better. He tolerated the shots fine. He had a little swelling in one leg where the shot was given but it was gone in 24 hours.
Other 2 month milestones include learning to fall asleep without being rocked or swaying. He did great. Tipp will at times fall asleep anywhere, however there are times when he just wants to be laid down so he can stretch out. These times are easy. There are other times when he's just restless and nothing seems to work. Those times we swaddle him and put him in his crib. He doesn't cry, he fusses. It's completely different. And in just about 1 minute on the dot he's asleep. It had been the best thing for him to learn to go to sleep on his own.
He's down to waking at 1am and then usually 4am. We will soon have to start working on a consistent wake time for when I have to go back to work. At 7 weeks and 6 days he slept 8 hours straight.
