Springtime, oh how I love thee!

Spring is in bloom, even if it is only February. The warm weather we've had was just what our yard needed.

The warmer weather has also encouraged us to get back to work in the yard and on the house. We had dirt delivered to the house to fill in the hole left by the HUGE oak tree that fell during Hurricane Ivan. What a difference it made.

Daniel got the tractor out and had the yard level in no time. Now let's pray we can get grass to grow back.

Where Have We Been??

We are still here! I've been slacking lately and haven't really updated the blog. The last few months have been super busy for Daniel with hunting season in full swing. He has been working so much! We have been busy and I haven't blogged about several fun things. In December our family welcomed a new member(my cousin Stephanie's daughter), Mary Rutherford Rogers "Mae."

And Big Brother Miller is teaching her to say "War Eagle" already!

Daniel and I had a wonderful First Christmas, celebrating in Troy, Abbeville and Beatrice. We loved driving home from Abbeville in the snow on Christmas night.
It has been such a cold winter here in South Alabama that these warm weather lovers have stayed indoors where it's warm.
Now that it's warming up we are dying to get out and get back to work and finish up the porch and yard so we can enjoy it all this summer. I promise pictures coming soon of the progress.

Prayers Needed

Please say a prayer for this amazing young lady. She is from my hometown, Jackson, Al. Here is a link to her Caringbridge site and you can read her full story there.

In March she found out she had Leukemia and she has been battling it ever since. She had a bone marrow transplant and things were looking good until recently things took a turn for the worst and since Thursday (Dec 16th) the Leukemia has gone from 20% to 68% in her body. The doctors say further treatment isn't an option. Jamie's faith has brought her through this battle and that faith is evident in the videos and posts that she makes. Please pray for a miracle healing for Jamie.

God can do anything, you know- far more than you could ever imagine or guess or request in your wildest dreams!! Ephesians 3:20

Visitor in Chestnut

We've seen this little girl alot lately and shes has been closer and closer to the house everytime. Our dogs don't seem to bother her at all and as you can see she isn't bothered by us either. We're trying to find a name for her. Cammie and Lutzie have been the top runners. Since Auburn is having such an awesome football season it's only fitting that we name her after Cam Newton or Philip Lutzenkirchen. Votes???

Christmas Time

It has been so much fun decorating our home for Christmas. We have enjoyed the Christmas Trees (yes, we have two) and the smells of the Christmas candles. I have a few pictures of the house decorations. I have my Grandmother's nativity set that I LOVE and must display during Christmas. That nativity is solid white and displayed on our china cabinet. Here are a few pictures and more to come later.
